A friend recommended this object and location. I hit the road and immediately found it with Apple Maps, satellite view. This is up in Arroyo Grande, in the backcountry a bit. Just what I was looking to document.

In the my blog post I’ll toss in the unprocessed, uncrossed result, and maybe an alternative to this final image.

I love the caught contrail as well, we had several along our skyline yesterday. Looking south from Santa Maria, you can often see planes make the northern turn from the westward path they take to Point Conception.
