Going home…again

Ok folks, I spent the weekend in the bighouse admitted back in UCLA. As you may know, I spiked a fever last week. So they bring me down and immediately put me on antibiotics. When the fever didn’t break, they admitted me. It broke immediately, and I haven’t had a fever all weekend. So the treatment worked. There ended up being evidence of one bacteria when they cultured me. Apparently I did have something. So the meds continue until I’ve had a nice long course.

Today I’m being released, and headed back home. They’re continuing my antibiotics, which will be administered by a nurse at our home everyday, until it’s done.

Thanks for the continued prayers! We know we’re loved and prayed for and it’s such a blessing!

We cannot fathom how much we are blessed through this whole process!

  1. Trevor and family, thoughts of you all came this morning, just wanted to let you know, still praying for you and your family.

  2. Great to hear you’re out. Our prayers go out to you daily. Please pray for me as I fight the same battle. God bless!

  3. Is it possible I saw you sitting outside of the admitting office this weekend? I have passed by your blog a few times and my 14 y/o son is also a patient at Ucla – currently battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma post transplant. I saw a gentleman with a mask on and wondered if it was “you.” We walked by with Angel also wearing a mask. I believe my email address posts to you if you’d ever like to connect. We are on 5th floor and have been inpatient mostly since March. (Many hundreds of days prior to that due to transplants.) – Sarah, Angel’s Mom

    1. Sorry Sarah, I didn’t come in via admitting. Wasn’t me.

Thank you for sharing. UCLA is wonderful and we’re so blessed to have been cared for here!
