Oregon Update, again…

Well, this time I have answers. Not the answers I was looking for, but at least now I know.

This last week, I was informed that the job I was hoping for, has fallen through. What does that mean? Basically, they are not going to hire me. My kind of work can be confusing and tedious to get hired.

Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I was mad at first, and now I’m just sad. I know I’ll get over it, and move on, but it’s still hard.

What does this mean for us moving to Oregon? Well, we can’t move up there without a job. So we’re here for now. We’re not sure what to do right now. We may still persue the move, with another job opportunity, or we may just find rest in the Lord and stay.

What I do know is that I’m taking this time to reassess my goals and dreams. I have always been a dreamer with a creative look at what’s before me. I don’t know what the next 12 months will look like, I’m just glad that my Lord does know.

  1. I can understand your concern about finding a job before making a big
move. My hubby and I have both lived in NJ our whole life, and we
would really love the opportunity to move out of state- anywhere out
of state! However, we too are conservative in the sense that we don’t
feel it smart to just up and move without a way to make a living.
We also are resting in the Lord and waiting on Him to see what he wants
to teach us while we’re still here, and trusting that He will show us the
    way when the time comes.

  2. i’m sorry to hear that, i was looking forward to having someone to shoot with when i visit my family in portland.

i’m sure all will turn out well for you however.

  3. Yeah Brian, you are correct. And, I’m hoping to re-re-schedule the PhotoSummit to be in California. So, more of us will get to attend.

Thanks for all of your encouraging comments folks. I appreciate it.

  4. Sorry to hear about the job thing — that sucks dude. You were pretty psyched out about heading off to Oregon. But hey, look on the bright side… now you get to hang out with all the SoCal photographers for a bit longer.

  5. I’m sorry it didn’t work out… definitely the company’s loss. I hope you do make it to Oregon, but I think Dawn’s right and that things will happen. Positive thoughts are heading your direction.

  6. My theory on this kind of stuff is that it happens for a reason. Life is supposed to take a turn at this point or I’m supposed to learn a lesson at this point.

Things will happen for you. I’m sure you will make the right things happen for you and your family.

I will be sending you all positive thoughts.
