Update on Megan

Hey all. If you’ve noticed a deceleration in my posting lately, it’s because I picked up a few extra shifts this week, and as you know, Megan is in the hospital.

Megan is my sister. See here, for details. She’s still at Cedars-Sinai. They (read: highly trained doctors) have ruled out most of the really bad stuff, including tumors/cancer. For the long term, that’s good.

In the short run, they seem to have helped her find a happly place with her pain management too. So, less of the hardcore pain. For the short term, that’s good.

On top of all that good news, her son, my nephew, has been able to see her almost every day that she’s been down in LA. One of us has taken the 1.5 hour long trip down and then again to return, each day. While we’re there, she’s able to get out to a great visiting courtyard, inside and outside. This, I’m sure, has helped keep her attitude strong and her joy up.

So, to recap…She’s doing better.

  1. I’m glad to hear she’s doing better. A friend of mine is fighting cancer at the moment, so I know what you’ve been going through. Hope to hear some more good news soon on your sister soon!
